Midwest Bias is an Indiana sports blog started by two Indiana University graduates. The blog aims to bring you coverage that you will not find elsewhere through interesting features and analysis. If you are looking for someone who won’t over simplify the results of a game to things like heart, effort, and mentality, then you’ve found your spot. Midwest Bias strives to break down the games into the keys that actually dictate the results. Please add this page to your favorites if you want to stimulate your mind with your sports coverage and follow the Midwest Bias twitter feed @MWBSports.
Meet the Founders:
Kevin Kane - Kevin Kane is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Journalism and has worked as a reporter, columnist and managing editor in the news industry. His work has been published by various outlets, from community newspapers to Yahoo! Sports, but ultimately he chose to give up on his dream of one day being laid off by a major daily newspaper and instead entered the business field. Obsessing over sports and sports media is nearly a full-time job for Kevin. When he isn’t playing
NBA 2K basketball or texting Adam Shear about trade rumors, he’s complaining about the quality of today’s mainstream sports analysis and reporting, says a source with knowledge of the situation. Kevin and his wife are natives of the south side of Indianapolis but currently live in Carmel.
Adam Shear - Adam is an Indiana University HPER: Sports Communications graduate originally from the suburbs of Indianapolis, who now lives in the South Bend area. If you live in Michiana you might catch Adam on your TV because he works at a local station as a sports/news reporter. In his spare time, Adam enjoys screaming at his TV when the Pacers, Colts, Hoosiers, and St. Louis Cardinals are on. He also likes to spend time with his fiancee when they actually get to see one another.
